Also to celebrate this month, I am starting off the Genealogy Records Roundup with a new Civil War records project called Civil War Bluejackets. The common sailor in the US Navy during the Civil War has not received the same historical attention as soldiers, and this exciting new project aims to correct that. There are also railroad employee records and digital book collections to discover, so read on and find some new sources for your research.
